Exa for Hiro
Quiet form, precise purpose
Exa is a bin designed with the same clarity and intent that define a well-considered object. At first glance it is simple, but its form arises from a thoughtful balance of geometry and function. The piece exists with quiet presence in the space and performs its role with precision. The lines of Exa are a study in restraint and purpose, ensuring that it integrates naturally into a variety of interiors and exterior environments without calling unnecessary attention to itself. Exa embraces its functional role with dignity and clarity.
The aim was to design a bin that feels integrated, refined and purposeful. The challenge was to avoid the typical industrial aesthetic and instead create a piece with quiet architectural presence. Exa had to be at home in public spaces, commercial interiors and residential projects alike, with a language consistent with high quality design.
The design process focused on creating a resolved form that makes the act of disposal feel considered. Proportions were carefully tuned to achieve a sense of balance and subtlety. Materials and detailing worked together to ensure longevity and tactile satisfaction, resulting in a bin that feels robust yet visually light.
