Organic geometry for urban rest
Public spaces are shaped by the small moments of pause that happen within them. The project explores how a simple piece of street furniture can encourage people to stop, rest and share time together in the city.
The design is built around a clear and durable structure. A tubular metal frame provides strength and longevity, while wooden slats introduce warmth and tactile comfort, creating a balanced dialogue between robustness and approachability.
The seat extends into a gently undulating backrest that follows the natural curve of the body. This gesture softens the geometry of the bench and transforms a functional element into a more welcoming presence within the urban landscape.
Guided by a principle of clarity and restraint, every detail is carefully considered to ensure durability, ease of maintenance and long-term use in outdoor environments.
The result is a contemporary urban bench where simplicity, comfort and social interaction come together to support everyday life in public space.
