Glass defined by structure
The project explores the dialogue between transparency and mass. A delicate glass surface appears to float above a solid marble base, creating a composition where lightness and material presence coexist in quiet balance.
The glass element is shaped into a soft and continuous form, allowing reflections and transparency to become part of the design itself. Rather than acting simply as a tabletop, the surface introduces a sense of visual lightness that subtly transforms the perception of the object.
In contrast, the marble base anchors the piece with a strong material identity. Its compact geometry provides stability while emphasising the tactile richness and natural character of the stone.
The relationship between these two elements defines the essence of the design. The result is a side table where glass and stone interact in equilibrium, creating an object that feels both sculptural and quietly elegant.
