Chou for LZF
Original geometry, adaptable light
Chou and Minichou are a family of lamps that share a singular geometric logic and a refined approach to light. The original Chou, conceived in 2013, set the foundation with its folded silhouette and calm presence, a lamp that balances sculptural form with luminous subtlety. Six years later, Minichou expands that idea into a portable and adaptable version, maintaining the same formal clarity in a compact and mobile format.
Both pieces express a quiet control of geometry, where folded surfaces articulate light with precision and intention. The design language is consistent across scales: smooth, interconnected planes create a composed silhouette that frames illumination in a way that feels both natural and intentional. Whether anchored to the ceiling or carried through space, Chou and Minichou enrich interiors with a sense of equilibrium between form, function and atmosphere.
The Chou design explores the interplay between structure and light, using a folded geometry that diffuses luminance softly into the environment. Its presence is sculptural yet restrained, bringing a calm, architectural quality to the spaces it inhabits. Through material and form, Chou sets a clear visual tone that resonates with calm geometry and measured depth.
Minichou translates the same geometric spirit into a portable lamp, expanding the context of use while preserving the visual identity of the original. Lightweight, versatile and intuitive, Minichou is designed to move with you, a companion piece that brings luminous balance into different settings without losing the composed formal language that defines the family.
