DS-909 Flow for Desede
A sofa designed to adapt to life, not the other way around
Contemporary living demands spaces that can evolve continuously. The project explores how a seating system can adapt to changing lifestyles, where the boundaries between working, relaxing and socialising are increasingly fluid.
The design is built around a landscape of softly curved base elements that can be combined to form organic compositions. Rather than defining a fixed arrangement, the system allows the space to remain open and adaptable, encouraging different ways of inhabiting the sofa.
Individually positionable backrests introduce an additional layer of flexibility. These elements can be freely arranged across the surface, creating support wherever it is needed while allowing the configuration to change from moment to moment.
The result is a modular seating system conceived as a dynamic landscape, where comfort, movement and adaptability come together to reflect the fluid rhythms of contemporary life.
