Comfort shaped as space
A soft volume shaped through folding, where geometry and material tension define the form.
The project explores how a flat surface can be transformed into a three-dimensional object through a sequence of precise folds. Rather than adding structure, the geometry itself becomes the construction, allowing the piece to emerge from continuity and compression.
This approach is developed through the study of origami principles, translated into upholstery, where each fold defines both the silhouette and the internal stability of the object. The result is a balance between softness and structure, where the surface appears flexible while remaining controlled.
What remains is an informal yet deliberate piece, where comfort is shaped not by addition, but by the logic of the fold.
